About Natural Resource Management & Common Wealth

Who We Are ?

The organization Natural Resource Management & Common Wealth (NRMCW) was established in 2003 by Mr. Narendra Kumar Pandey, with its registered office located at 46, Shrawan Estate, Durgesh Vihar, J.K. Road, Bhopal 462041 (M.P.). Driven by a deep empathy for the struggles of marginalized individuals, the founder's concern for the poor and underprivileged in the region led to the registration of NRMCW in 2003 as a society under the Societies Registration Act of 1973.

The name of the organization reflects its dual goals:

  • to address the needs of the most suffering and deprived members of society, bringing them back into the mainstream of development; and
  • to promote social, economic, and cultural development, enabling these individuals to live peacefully, freely, and with dignity in society. The choice of focus areas was informed by the nature and intensity of exploitation faced by the Adivasis, the lack of significant ameliorative or developmental interventions, and the limited presence of voluntary organizations.

NRMCW is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization that has been working in the field of social development for the past 21 years.

What We DO ?

NRMCW organizes vocational training across various trades through our Vocational Training Provider (VTP) centers. Our programs are designed to empower minority women, fisher women, and men by enhancing their skills and capabilities. We specifically focus on adolescent girls, providing them with training to help secure employment or start their own ventures.

We collaborate with Central and State agencies, autonomous bodies, and corporate partners to ensure our training programs align with donor requirements. Our efforts not only include training but also placement assistance in various organizations and establishments.

Additionally, we operate a helpline that offers career counseling to our beneficiaries. We provide ongoing support, guidance, and nurturing to address their queries and help them navigate their professional journeys effectively.

Our Approach

Our way of working at NRMCW is simple, honest, and based on our experience. When it comes to vocational training, we follow the rules and regulations set by the relevant department. For example, as a vocational training provider, we follow the guidelines set by MPCVET in Bhopal, which is a local organization under DGET in New Delhi. When working with other organizations, like NIRD and NFDB, we follow their instructions.

We have good relationships with both the market and the governments at the central and state levels. When we're training adolescent girls, we focus on the goals of the SABLA program.

We hire experienced and committed teachers to train our students, and we make sure they're paid on time to keep their motivation high. Our training centers have all the necessary facilities, equipment, and software required for each program.

But it doesn't stop there. We not only provide training, but we also help place our trainees in jobs after they've completed the program. We have good relationships with potential employers, and we update our training curriculum to meet their needs.

We also act as a bridge between our trainees and potential employers, helping to establish their credibility in the job market. If a new trainee needs help finding a job, we support them, and even provide a guarantee to help establish their credibility with potential employers.

We have a helpline for all our trainees, available whenever they need it. Sometimes, we even set up temporary training venues to make it easier for trainees to attend classes, saving them time and money.

We regularly monitor our training programs, making changes whenever needed. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for our trainees.

Impact of Projects and Programs

The program's viz. community mobilization regarding conservation of water, sanitation and hygiene, awareness programs for cleanliness, training programmes done at Kargil & Leh left a great impact on the participants, and we found that very many people were able to reap the benefit from these programs.

Challenges

To organize the people and convince them regarding good practices is a great challenge before us.

Plan for the Future

We aim to work as a Training Partner for entrepreneurship and skill development through the HP Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (HPCED). Additionally, we plan to organize exhibitions and conduct RKSK training sessions under the NHM in various states. These initiatives will further our mission and expand our reach in empowering communities.
